How did commercials persuade people in buying their product, especially the beauty products?

Usually in Commercials, Advertiser use charming and pretty, popular, well known, models or Actress, which make us feel that we should also make use and appear some what like that and impulsively buy the Advertised product.





Basically all type ads. establish firstly presence of product for sale, followed by other messages.How did commercials persuade people in buying their product, especially the beauty products?
Repetition. Visual eye candy. Beautiful sound. Smile. Beleive your life will be better if you had the product. Run to the store.How did commercials persuade people in buying their product, especially the beauty products?
Way, way back in the 1930s - cosmetic magnate Charles Revson said, ';Women don't but makeup. They buy hope.';
Its basesd on the psychological term ';association.'; The advertisement makes a feel a certain way and by association, the product makes us feel that way (a little). See also, ';classical conditioning.';
because the models they used are so damn pretty...and on impulse we buy them, to convince ourselves that we could look just like them... ;-)
