For young teens, a good clean soap, some toner (like Witch Hazel) and maybe a soft pink lip gloss. For the 15 to 18 year olds, add some eye shadow, mascara, and lots of brushes to smooth the colors out. She doesn't want to look like makeup; she wants to look like her lovely self.

Cleanliness is tops. Clear skin doesn't need a lot of makeup.
shampoo

conditioner

hairspray (lightweight one to hold an updo in place)

brush with boar bristles

lotion (bath and body works)

clear lip gloss (or sheer ones like victorias secret beauty rush in strawberry fizz)

black mascara(dirty blondes, brunettes, black hair) or brown (platinum blondes)

lavendar eyeshadow(works on every skin tone)

concealer (for those bad skin days)
HYGENE:

1. Face Wash-the kind depends on the persons skin type.

2. Face Lotion-a gentle one that wont cause acne or clog pores.

3. Acne Wash- (if they have acne)

4. Wash Cloth

MAKE-UP:

1. Mascara- a kind that won't clump

2. Eyeliner-blue for people with green eyes, brown for blue eyes and black for brown eyes.(dont put on too thick!)

3. Eyeshadow- usually browns and shimmery colors look best

4. Foundation or Light Bronzer- be sure to match the skin tone

5. Lipgloss-glossy lips always look good

6. Eye Shadow Brush-comes with most eye shadow

OTHER:

1. Body Lotion-somthing that smells yummy and will keep your skin moisturized.

2. Perfume/Body Spray-most body sprays dont last very long, and name brand perfume can be too strong for teens, so usually a perfume from a teen clothing store is best eg. Aeropostal, Hollister,PacSun,or Anchor Blue.

3. Nail Polish-blues, pinks, greens, black, or purples any color really

4. Hair Straightner/Curler-if you have curly hair, straightning it can be a nice change, and visa versa for straight hair.
You can use any makeup you want but you must have some cleaning gel/face soap, day cream for your type of skin and something against zits if you have any.

I use those things now but I wish I used it before my skin got so bad. Better go to a good cosmetic shop and let them help pick something just for you. and never buy anything cheap and unknown, those products will only do worse.
moisturizer, eye lash curler, mascara, lip gloss/chapstick, concealer
I would suggest an antishine tinted moisturizer because your skin is going wako at this stage.

Besides that, try to keep it subtle. Match colors to your eyes. Browns match blue eyes, Greens match brown eyes, and Purples match brown eyes.

Also, a shiny but not to colored lip gloss will definately come in handy, or even just chapstick! Most of these items come with their own tools.

When it comes to your nails, whatever colors you decide, but try to buy a nail polish notorious for not chipping too soon.

If you like to do your hair in different styles, try getting a curler or straightener that has different plates to create waves, straight hair, or kinky curls
For skincare:

1. Cleanser

2. Exfoliator

3. Toner

4. Moisturizer containing sunscreen of spf 15 or higher with uva and uvb protection

5. A separate moisturizer at night

5. Acne cream

For makeup:

1. Pressed Powder

2. Concealer

3. Eye liner

4. Mascara

5. Lip gloss

6. Eye shadow brush

7. Powder brush

8. Blush

9. Nail polish and implements (I added this b/c its a nice way to look dressy and have fun with colors without looking ';made up';)

For the makeup products I would keep things to a neutral tone and I would ONLY wear foundation if you ';need'; the extra coverage. Other than that don't OD on makeup because being a teen I would try and keep a fresh face. Heavy makeup ages you, and not in a good way. More like in a trailer park kind of way. Remember these two key phrases when it comes to beauty products:

makeup is only as good as the skin you're putting it on, and less makeup is more!

Have nice earrings

Always have a rubberband just in case your hair gets out of place you can hurry and do something good with your hair in a ponytail

Well thats really all i can think of.

GOOD LICK FOR WHAEVER YOUR DOING!
well the key is to make it look natural. make-up should be used as a beauty inhancer not as cover-up. normally i just use eyeshadow, mascara, and lipgloss((cuz its poppin)) and eyeliner is good too, especially if you have blue eyes. if you ever get break out you can use cover-up but make sure it matches your skin tone and dont use too much. nothing is a bigger turn off then noticing somone if wearing foundation or cover-up. it gets people thinking ';what is under there!?';

Okay well this is just me, you personally could need something different. I'll go in order;

-Foundation (matches your skin tone, usually liquid)

-Powder (matches your skin tone, keeps you from looking shiny)

-Blush (I sometimes wear this. Can be a light or dark depending on occasion or skin tone

-Eye shadow (You can go crazy with this, but not too crazy. If you want to make a statement, go for bolder colors, but since you're new to this stick with colors that blend with your skin, for example pink, brown, tan, MAYBE a light blue but be careful you don't want to look trashy. I wear a silver every day)

-Eye liner (can be liquid or a pencil, I find pencil easier)

-Mascara (go for the non-goopy stuff. Unfortunately, the more expensive the better.

Hope that helps. Just remember not to cake it on because if you're beautiful on the inside that's all that matters! (besides, when you put too much on you look a bit scary :-D)
girls look waaayyyyy hotter when they dont wear makeup
