Yeah, I went to cosmetology school in Indiana. You have to complete 1500hrs of instructional and practical time. The hrs vary by state. You must pass a class final exam which is a simulation of the State exam. You will have a 100 questions written (multiple choice) exam and a practical exam. The practical consists of actual demostration of various techniques of combing, styling, cutting hair., etc. It can be expensive, but you can get s student loan if needed. The classes are M-F day or night and Sat am. You will have to pay a small fe to take the exam and to renew your license every 2 yrs.Anyone ever went to a beauty school to learn how to do hair?
I went to beauty school, my mom thought it was a good idea. You have to love doing hair, facials, nails. you have to know all the up dated styles like going to shows in town and out. good money good luck. oh yes if you are doing braids it is easy to get license. you make More money on ladies hair 45.00 perm wash and set 35.00
you could probably take classes in an continuing education school and you need so many in school hours then you get a certificate in order to get a license you have to do 2000 apprenticing hours but you get paid for them
No, you have to do the whole thing. You can usually finish in about 10 months. You will learn alot more than just hair too.
