Most importantly, you have to be really flirty and just have fun with the role. If you're going to go with the french accent, you're going to have to work really hard to learn how to keep the accent constant while still articulating and projecting your voice. The best way to get better at this is by listening to native French speakers speak English on a regular basis. Babette must be very physically confident, so stand up straight and walk with purpose.Has anyone played Babette in Beauty and the Beast?

First, you are very lucky! Babette is SUCH an awesome role. I have never played it, but I have wanted to for a while. Above all, you have to be really confident in yourself and your accent (you are doing an accent, right?). Listening to real french accents help, and you should definitely youtube Babette. Also, I think it would help to be comfortable and/or friends with the person who plays Lumiere. Good luck! :)
